The PAG Factor, this is the game both teams have been waiting for. It’s the outstanding Cavaliers offense vs the outstanding Vikings defense. For the Vikings to hang with the Cavaliers, Trace Jackson has to run the ball successfully all night long and slow the game down. The Caves got so much better when Donelson got eligible. The Vikings passing game will need to be on with QB Ethan Winslow along with his wide outs Conner McFall and Caleb Irigoyen.
The Vikings can’t afford to give up the big plays and win at home.

EXETER MONARCHS (5-3) (2-1) at IMMANUEL EAGLES (3-5) (2-1)

The Monarchs lost to Washington Union 49-7.
The Eagles beat Sierra Pacific 28-7. Will Henderson carried the ball 37 times for 176 yards and scored 3 TDs. Trey Romo returned a kickoff for a TD.
The PAG Factor, the Eagles improved over any team in the Central Section after the 30 day transfer rule. The Eagles are not a fancy team to watch and not a throwing team. And make no mistake about it, the Eagles can throw the ball with junior QB Jake Horn but they choose not to. What the Eagles will do is slowly kick your ass up and down the field with a physical offensive line, a very physical running back Will Henderson and pound the ball right at you with about 4 plays and there is nothing that you can do about it because it will feel like you are being tortured. Jake has a fantastic arm and the Eagles will need the passing game balance along with the physical running game because when the Eagles play CVC and the playoffs, if they expect to win a ring, they will need to throw the ball especially when teams put 9-10 players in the box.
What the Monarchs need to do on offense is score, score, score and never punt the ball because the Eagles don’t even practice punting.
PAGMETER PREDICTION EAGLES 35 MONARCHS 7

The Golden Bears lost to Immanuel 28-7.
The Pirates beat Hanford West 48-27. QB Jacob Rocha with 5 TD passes.
The PAG Factor, don’t go by the Pirates score last week, the Pirates were up big 42-13 before letting everybody play. What Pirates head coach Tony Gates does outstanding is get the young Pirates some tremendous game experience.
The G Bears offense needs a big night to stay in this one vs a physical Pirates defense.

TRAC
CLOVIS COUGARS (3-5) (0-3) at BUCHANAN BEARS (7-1) (2-1)

PAGMETER LINE BEARS -28
The Cougars lost to Clovis North 38-35. Freshman QB Deagan Rose is getting better and better with every quarter he plays in throwing for 308 yards and 3 TD passes. Jacob Saldate caught 11 footballs for 178 yards and a TD, Jaden Carillo caught 7 balls for 92 yards and a TD,
The Bears beat Central 49-41. The Bears scored 49 points and had to hang on. QB Jayden Mandal was throwing darts going 16-18 for 315 yards and 2 TD passes. RB Michael Runnels rushed for 144 yards and scored 4 TDs with runs of 59, 11, 4, 6 yards and caught a 59-yard TD pass. Colton O’toole got open any time needed, catching 6 balls for 80 yards and a TD.
The PAG Factor, this is a tough matchup for the Cougars but that’s OK because if the Cougars can sneak in the division 2 playoff/tournament, they will be dangerous.
The defenses in the TRAC have yet to show up this year.

CLOVIS WEST GOLDEN EAGLES (7-0) (2-0) vs CLOVIS NORTH BRONCOS (4-3) (1-1)
PAGMETER LINE GOLDEN EAGLES -5
The Golden Eagles beat Clovis East 42-30. C Dub trailed at the half and HC Eric Brown gave his first big halftime speech and it was basically get your head out of your ass and let’s go!
QB Ryan Markarian threw for 370 yards and 5 TDs. Aiden Fortenberry scored a TD.
The Broncos beat Clovis 38-35. Mario Cosma played his best game for the Broncos going 11-14 passes for 146 yards and a TD pass to Rasid Mansour. .
The PAG Factor, for the Broncos to pull the upset, the offensive line and the Broncos running game has to control the line of scrimmage and be physical. Cosma doesn’t have to be a hero but needs to direct the offense with smart/big plays.
Can the Broncos defense match up with the Golden Eagles passing attack? The Clovis West Golden Eagles by far have the best junior receivers on one team in the state with Marshel Sanders, Landon Wright and Jordan Pierro. Markarian doesn’t have to be fancy and that means throw the ball in the general area where the WRs are and a 97.5% chance the super juniors will come down with the ball and Broncos will have zero answers to stop it. It has worked all year long and not one team can match up with the super juniors. Nobody has pounded the ball against the Golden Eagles as of yet so that will be the big test for the Golden Eagles front 7. If the Broncos who are finally all healthy can line up and be physical, put a pass rush together, there could be an upset.

Side note on the Mendota at Dos Palos game last Friday where the Broncos won 44-41. Mendota head coach Beto Mejia was kicked out for asking a referee a question.
The question from Beto, by the way, was about the biggest play of the game. The Aztecs were on the goal line and ready to score when some players heard a whistle blow but the play kept going on. The play resulted in a fumble and the Broncos picked up the ball and took it back for a 99 yard TD. That play was HUGE since Mendota lost 44-41.
Beto asked for the referees to get together and the side judge immediately kicked Beto out.
The side judge flat out blew it. On an inverted whistle, play stops and it’s a do over. Inverted whistles happen and you move on.
To all officials, unless a coach gets physical or personal, YOU SHOULD NEVER KICK A COACH OUT FOR ASKING A QUESTION. Officials should never mistake passion over being obnoxious from coaches and the good officials know exactly what I’m talking about.
Since this Officials group was completely over their skis refereeing this game, the CIF needs to overturn Beto Mejia being ejected especially when this official wants to be bigger than the game.
This officials group was not ready for a big game like this with two passionate rivalry towns and it’s sad it turned out this way.
The officials that have people skills & common sense make the best officials. It’s that simple!
Beto was trying to talk to the White Hat official about the blown call they made. With a call this big, the officials should have huddled up and asked if anyone blew a whistle? It was heard twice and if anyone had a clear view of the ball being stripped before the endzone. The call was simply blown and the game film showed it. The side judge made it personal against Beto and in 12 years, this was the first time Beto has ever been ejected and that should tell everybody that the side judge made it personal and that is 100% wrong!
The SJVOA will not go to Mendota any longer to call games. Look for the CSOSA group (head of CSOSA is Bob Kayajanian) to start taking more games away from the SJVOA because of the lack of COMMON SENSE!

TRANQUILITY TIGERS (1-7) (0-3) at DOS PALOS BRONCOS (4-4) (3-0)
PAGMETER LINE BRONCOS -35
The Tigers lost to Firebaugh 44-21.
The Broncos beat Mendota 44-41. QB Peyton Van Worth had his best game yet throwing for 395 yards and 4 TDs. Elias Malfabon caught 11 footballs for 217 yards and 2 TDs.
The PAG Factor, the Broncos could easily be 6-1 right now after losing some tough non league games and with junior QB Van Worth gaining confidence, the Broncos will be tough to beat especially if they can get into division 5.

LEMOORE TIGERS (7-1) (3-0) at DINUBA EMPERORS (4-4) (2-1)

PAGMETER LINE TIGERS -10
The Tigers crushed Mission Oak 48-0. This was a good old fashioned beat down. QB Ty Chambers threw 3 TD passes. Demel Turner, Kobe Green and Kiontre Harris each caught a TD pass.. Andrew Moench rushed for 107 yards and scored 2 TDs. Anthony Garcia rushed for 100 yards and scored a TD.
The Emperors beat Tulare Western 49-7. QB CJ Hernandez scored 2 TD and threw a TD pass.
The PAG Factor, it’s a great match up of the outstanding Tigers offense vs the outstanding Emperors defense. Can the Emperors offense score enough against the new and improved Tigers defense? If the Tigers play good defense to go along with an explosive offense then the Tigers can beat anybody.

PAGMETER LINE HAWKS -7
The Hawks got blown out to Lemoore 48-0 and the Tribe got blown out to Hanford 49-6.
The PAG Factor, these players have all grown up together playing against each other. The Hawks are a team that will crush the teams below them but can’t hang with teams above them.
The Tribe can score but can’t tackle anybody so this game could have a lot of points scored.
