DIVISION 2 PLAYOFF NOTES,
There is zero chance that Tehachapi and Lompoc and San Luis Obispo should be playing in D2. With Memorial, Edison and Bullard out of the D2 post season tournament, the CIF filled up the D2 bracket with D3 teams.

That’s why this year, D1 should have an 8 team bracket, and add into D2 with Hanford, Arroyo Grande, St Joseph and Garces.
That way Tehachapi, Madera, SLO, Garza and Lompoc would be in D3.
Tehachapi goes 10-0 and doesn’t get a home. So wrong! It’s simply common sense!

The NYL Champions beat McLane 43-8 and the Hornets lost to Roosevelt 56-25.
The Wildcats are looking for a home game in the D2 playoffs and the Hornets have qualified and are looking to be a low seed in the D5 playoffs.

The Titans with the biggest win in school history beating the defending State Champion Liberty Patriots 25-20. Brycen Cael Tablit rushed for 149 yards and scored a TD. Senior QB Malakhi Statler went 15-29 for 272 yards, A star is born with sophom*ore Kobie Watson who caught a 49-yard TD pass and picked off a huge pass at the end of the game. Brady Durkan scored 2 TDs and Brycen Tabit scored on a 90-yard run.
The X factor is the Golden Hawks have struggled on offense when they play a team with a good defense and the Titans have a very good defense. The Titans won the biggest game in school on Friday and has to play on Thursday, there could be huge Patriots hangover.

The Broncos manhandled Buchanan 28-3. The Broncos O-line and D-line dominated the line of scrimmage. Jackson Cinfel rushed for 137 yards and scored 2 TDs. McKay Madsen rushed for 82 yards. Senior QB Mario Cosma was spot on going 7-8 for 106 yards and threw a TD pass to Vinnie Cordoba.
This is for the TRAC Championship. I know I know in our soft society, some will say if Central wins, they will be Co-Champions with the Broncos.

If the Broncos win then the debate ends.
Can the Broncos defense slow down the red hot Grizzlies offense? Nobody lately has contained Marquez on the zone-read. I’m thinking CN will have a game plan.

The Drillers beat Ridgeview 58-0. Junior RB Brison Abbott rushed for 267 yards and scored 5 TDs on 13 carries.
The X factor can the Patriots slow down red hot Abbott and how pissed off will the Patriots be after losing for the first time in a while? Could this be the best time to play the Patriots after a loss? Starting Patriots QB Cole O’Brien should be back this week.

The Panthers lost to Garza 38-10. Jordan Colbert rushed for 124 yards and caught a TD pass from QB Pierce Delport. Alex Asparuhov nailed a field goal. Colbert is outstanding and will be visiting UCLA.
The Apaches beat Bullard 42-14. The Apaches shutout the Knights in the 2nd half 28-0. The Apaches O-line dominated the line of scrimmage. Israel Robles rushed for 209 yards and scored 2 TDs. Bryson Baker rushed for 74 yards, scored 2 TDs and also caught a TD pass from Jaden Chanthalangsy. Carlos Young scored on a 61-yard TD run.
The Apaches will be fired up for this one because Sanger takes it personally when the Apaches players get recruited away from Sanger. Look for the Apaches to come out fired up.

Jace was severely dehydrated.

The X factor, can the Titans match up with the Birds up front? The Titans offense needs a big game.
As for Jace Demacabalin, All tests this week were all clean. Jace is feeling good. He was cleared by ER on Friday along with his primary Doctor on Wednesday. If Jace feels good on Friday, he is playing! That’s great news!

Could there be an upset because the Pirates have played a killer schedule? The young Pirates are very physical and coming around but they must win. They could be dangerous and battle tested in the D5 playoffs.
The Monarchs are 9-0 and that puts a ton of pressure on a team right before the playoffs. The Monarchs play tremendous defense and the offense is dangerous. Would it be different for the Pirates with a schedule like Exeter?
This should be a very good game and the Pagmeter upset special.

The T Wolves beat Clovis 49-34. They played for the Battle of the Boot and the T Wolves finally get to bring the Boot back to Clovis East. The maintenance team had to bring in special equipment to get the boot off the shelf because it’s been there since 2009.
Ty Miller went 17-25 for 382 and 6 TD passes. Tommy Nix caught 7 footballs for 155 yards and scored 4 TDs including a kickoff return for a TD, Duvall caught 4 passes for 185 yards and scored 3 TDs.
The Bears lost to Clovis North 28-3. The Bears did what they could against the No 1 team.
The T Wolves offense is light years better than the Bears offense. For the Bears to hang, they must move the chains and slow the game down. That’s their only chance especially without a passing offense that is struggling. It’s crazy to think that the Bears will not make the postseason tournament but it’s about to happen. The T Wolves defense always gives up plenty of points so the Bears could be seeing the endzone.

That’s the big question..will the underachievers turn it on? If they do, they can beat anybody. Everybody is waiting for that to happen. Everybody knows all the issues with CW so we all watch the soap opera together. CW is very streaky and the Cougars continue to play at the speed limit.
Can the Golden Eagles slow down the Cougars running attack along with some timely passes?
The Cougars have one of the best D-lines in the Central Section and the Golden Eagles can’t the ball. Can the Cougars stay with the talented Golden Eagles passing attack?
